Music MinistryList Item 1
Interested in joining the PONTIFICAL CHORALE?
Do you love to sing? Interested in returning to the choir? To receive
information on applying to the Pontifical Chorale—Corpus Christi Cathedral's
adult choir, please email music@cccathedral.com
This season promises wonderful musical opportunities from the usual
Sundays and feast days including Christmas, Holy Week, as well as the
re-dedication of Corpus Christi Cathedral, and much more. Opportunities
are available for high school experience with musical or choral
experience, as well. Regular rehearsals will resume in September.
A brief assessment for vocal placement will be scheduled around rehearsal
dates. All members are required to complete and maintain the
CMSE (safe environment) training and background check required for
volunteering in the Diocese of Corpus Christi.

Grupo de OracionList Item 4
Spanish Prayer Group meets every Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the prayer group room. Entrance is by the bus stop. Weather permitting.
El Grupo de Oracion se reune todos los Miercoles a las 7 p.m. en el Salon. La entrada es por la parada de autobus. Si el tiempo lo permite.

Altar Server
Boys and girls from grade 3 and above and who have received their First Communion are invited to be an Altar Server. For more information contact the parish office at 361/883-6082.

Baptism Preparation
Preparing parents for the formation of their child’s faith.

Eucharistic Minister
Extraordinary Ministers of Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound. If interested contact the parish office at 361/883-6082.

Finance Council
Advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets.

Fellowship Committee
Volunteers who coordinate social activities and gatherings of parishioners during the year.

Offertory Counters
A group that counts the funds collected at Mass each week. Each group volunteers every two weeks.

Flowers and Grounds
Volunteers who care for and beautify the grounds and church. If interested in becoming a volunteer, contact the parish office at 361/883-6082.

Parish Pastoral Council
The PPC is involved in most activities and programs effecting the liturgical and spiritual life of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. For more information contact the parish office at 361/883-6082.

Greeters
Parish volunteers who warmly welcome parishioners as they enter the Church for Mass.

Lector
Reader who proclaim the Scriptures at Mass and other services. If interested in becoming a lector for Sacred Heart Church contact Cecilia Flores at 361/563-1521.

Stations of the Cross
Stations of the Cross (Spanish) are held Friday evenings at 6:30PM in the church during Lent.

RCIA
Rite of Christian Initiation – preparation of adult candidates for Catholic sacraments.

Usher
Volunteers who assist people to their seat if necessary. They also take up the collection.

Sacristan
Duties include preparing the altar for Mass and cleaning the altar following Mass.

Enlgish Prayer Group
The English Prayer group meets on Thursdays at 7 p.m. in the Prayer group room, entrance by the bus stop. Dates will be announced at mass and in bulletins.
